Kansas City Young Chamber Musicians (KCYCM) is a nonprofit organization that partners with the Music Academy of Kansas City to offer an ensemble program for students who want to go beyond solo playing and experience the joy of making music with others. Students are thoughtfully matched into duos, trios, quartets, or coached small groups where they develop teamwork, listening, leadership, and confidence—skills that accelerate musical growth and often make practice more motivating. With supportive coaching and performance opportunities throughout the season, KCYCM is a fun, inspiring way for young musicians to build friendships, challenge themselves, and feel part of a vibrant musical community.

Giving to Kansas City Young Chamber Musicians
For over a decade, the Music Academy of Kansas City (MAKC) has helped KC families discover what’s possible through music. To expand access and opportunity, our fundraising benefits Kansas City Young Chamber Musicians (KCYCM)—a 501(c)(3) whose combined efforts with MAKC programs provide scholarships, chamber coaching, instruments, masterclasses, and community performances for young musicians across the metro. Donations are made to KCYCM, which issues charitable receipts.
